Pisaj or Evil is a 2004 Thai horror film about a young woman named Oui who, after her parents are killed in a drive-by shooting, finds herself caring for her aunt's grandson, Arm, who can see ghosts. Oui suffers from hallucinations and is taking medication to cope with the trauma. Meanwhile, her aunt is involved in mysticism and keeps a strange shrine in the house. The film explores themes of drugs and the political climate in Thailand during the time of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
