Baoh is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki, known for his work on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1985 and later adapted into a single-episode OVA. The story follows 17-year-old Ikuro Hashizawa, who is kidnapped and transformed into a bio-weapon called Baoh. With the help of Sumire, a psychic girl, Ikuro escapes from the organization responsible for his transformation and must evade assassins and monsters sent to eliminate him. The series is known for its over-the-top gore and action. Baoh was licensed in English by Viz Media and released in graphic novel format. The OVA was also released in English. The main character, Ikuro Hashizawa, is featured as a playable character in the game JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle. Baoh is highly regarded by other manga artists, such as Hiroyuki Takei, the author of Shaman King.
